1. About these Terms

This website is operated by Get Venue Ready. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Get Venue Ready.

These Terms of Service govern your use of getvenueready.com.au and your purchase and use of our digital products, guides, templates, checklists and other downloadable resources.

By using this website or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Our Products

Get Venue Ready sells digital business resources designed primarily for cafés, restaurants, food trucks, pubs and other hospitality businesses.

Our products may include:

  • Business and operational guides

  • Editable Word documents

  • Printable PDF documents

  • Checklists, forms, logs and schedules

  • Bundled digital operations packs

  • Other downloadable business resources

The contents and file formats included with each product are described on its product page.

We may update, replace, improve or discontinue a product at any time. This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Orders

When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the selected product under these Terms.

An order is accepted when payment has been successfully processed and we provide an order confirmation or download access.

You are responsible for checking your order and providing a correct email address before completing your purchase.

We may decline or cancel an order where:

  • Payment cannot be processed

  • The order appears fraudulent or unauthorised

  • A pricing or product-description error has occurred

  • The purchase breaches these Terms

  • We are otherwise permitted to do so by law

If we cancel a paid order before providing the product, we will refund the amount paid.

4. Prices and Payment

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Prices are displayed in Australian dollars

  • Applicable taxes are included where indicated at checkout

  • Products are supplied digitally and do not incur physical shipping charges

Payments are processed through Shopify and its approved payment providers. We do not directly store your complete payment-card details.

Prices may change without notice. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.

5. Digital Delivery

Our products are delivered electronically. After successful payment, customers will normally receive access through the order-confirmation page and by email.

Delivery may include a PDF, Word document, ZIP archive or another file format stated on the product page.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing a working email address

  • Downloading the files promptly

  • Keeping a secure backup of your purchased files

  • Using software capable of opening the supplied file formats

  • Protecting download links from unauthorised access

6. Business-Use Licence

When you purchase a digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product within the purchasing business or organisation.

Unless a product page states otherwise, the purchasing business may:

  • Use the documents in its own business operations

  • Edit and customise editable documents

  • Add its business name, branding and operational information

  • Print copies for internal business use

  • Store copies on its internal systems

  • Provide copies to its employees and contractors where required for work performed for that business

  • Use the documents within directly operated venues of the purchasing business or legal entity, unless the product page or supplied licence specifies one venue

This is a licence to use the product. Ownership of the original product and its intellectual property is not transferred to the purchaser.

You must not:

  • Sell, resell or sublicense the product

  • Share the product with an unrelated business or organisation

  • Give the original or edited files to clients for their independent use

  • Upload the product to a public website, shared drive, marketplace or file-sharing service

  • Distribute the product as a free resource

  • Repackage the product as your own product

  • Use the product to create a substantially similar competing product

  • Remove copyright or ownership notices from the original files

  • Claim that you created the original product

Some specialist products are licensed for one venue only; this restriction is stated on their product pages and in their supplied licences. For those products, each additional venue needs its own licence. Use by a separate business, client, franchisee or independently owned location requires a separate licence unless we agree otherwise in writing.

7. Intellectual Property

The website, product designs, guides, written content, templates, checklists, graphics, branding and downloadable materials are owned by or licensed to Get Venue Ready.

These materials are protected under Australian copyright law, including the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), and other applicable intellectual-property laws.

Australian copyright protection arises automatically when an original work is created and documented. Purchasing a product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual-property rights to the purchaser.

You may only copy, edit, print and use our products as permitted by the Business-Use Licence in these Terms or by a separate written agreement with us.

“Get Venue Ready”, our logo and associated branding must not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or ownership without our written permission.

8. General Information and Regulatory Disclaimer

Our guides and resources provide general practical information only.

They are not a substitute for legal, accounting, financial, taxation, employment, workplace-health-and-safety, food-safety, building, planning, licensing or other professional advice.

Requirements affecting a business may vary according to:

  • The type and location of the business

  • State or territory legislation

  • Local council requirements

  • Food authority requirements

  • The premises or vehicle being used

  • Changes to laws, standards and industry practices

You are responsible for confirming the requirements that apply to your business and obtaining appropriate professional advice when necessary.

We do not guarantee that purchasing or using a product will result in approval of a licence, permit or application, regulatory compliance, profitability or any particular business outcome.

9. Accuracy and Product Updates

We take reasonable care when preparing our products, but information can become outdated and errors may occasionally occur.

A purchase does not automatically include future editions, ongoing advice or personalised support unless this is expressly stated on the product page.

We may provide corrected or updated files to existing customers at our discretion.

10. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

Because our products are digital and may be accessed immediately, we do not generally provide refunds for change of mind after a product has been downloaded or accessed.

However, this does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You may be entitled to a remedy if a digital product:

  • Is faulty or corrupted

  • Is materially different from its description

  • Cannot be accessed because of a problem for which we are responsible

14. Shopify

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to offer our products and process transactions.

Purchases made through this store are transactions between you and Get Venue Ready. Shopify is not the seller of our products.

Shopify and its service providers may process information as necessary to operate the store, process payments, prevent fraud and provide related services.

15. Privacy

Personal information collected through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using the website, you acknowledge that information may be processed by Shopify, payment providers and other service providers required to operate the store and fulfil your order.

16. Availability of the Website

We aim to keep the website available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict the website for maintenance, security, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a temporary website issue prevents you from accessing a purchased product, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to restore access.

17. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Get Venue Ready is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from:

  • Business decisions made using general information in our products

  • Failure to obtain a permit, licence or regulatory approval

  • Failure to check current legal or regulatory requirements

  • Unauthorised sharing or misuse of purchased files

  • Software or equipment used to open, edit or store the files

  • Events outside our reasonable control

You remain responsible for how the products are adapted and implemented in your business.

Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded but can be limited, it will be limited to the remedies permitted by applicable law.

18. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Get Venue Ready for reasonable losses, costs or claims arising directly from:

  • Your material breach of these Terms

  • Your unlawful use or redistribution of our products

  • Your infringement of another person’s rights

  • Content or branding you add to an editable product

This section does not apply to the extent that a loss was caused by our own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of a non-excludable legal obligation.

19. Termination

We may terminate or restrict your access to the website or digital products if you materially breach these Terms, misuse our products or engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct.

Termination does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property or permit continued redistribution of our products.

Sections concerning licensing, intellectual property, liability and other provisions intended to continue will survive termination.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Subject to any mandatory rights available to you, the parties submit to the courts of Western Australia and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
